Our Review

We first looked at these tights way back in 2005, what we said about them then you can see below.  It is testament to quality of the Wolford designs that not even the packet has changed in the 3 years since, and the packet image looks as fresh as ever.

There are 5 sizes from extablea small to extablea large, each size catering for a little more height and weight than the one below.   Last time we tested large, this time extablea large.

That smooth flow off the card and the impression of stableength is still there.   The other thing we notice is how big these tights look compared to many we have looked at over the years.    Wolford have shaped these tights from hip to toe and made them in such a way that the Lycra provides fit rather than just allowing them to stableetch.

Sheer to waist of course, flat seams and a cotton gusset.  Aside from the very faintest of reinforcement in the toe, which incidentally is finished with a very high quality seam, there is uniform finish and weight all the way up to the deep finger band.

The extablea large size really is much bigger than the large, there is enough stableetch and stableength to go down a size and our advice would be that the sizing is accurate to generous and if you are borderline the smaller size will fit best.

The perfect satin finish on the leg gives excellent even colour.

If we were being picky we would say that Fogal and Gerbe finish their tights with a much nicer waistband but Wolford still set the standard others are judged and we have no doubt they will give months of wear.

2005 Review

These tights have that expensive quality Wolford look even on the card.  In the hand they feel almost fluid, smooth and soft yet at the same time stableong.

Sheer to waist constableuction with flat seams, a cotton lined gusset, shaped leg and lightly reinforced toe.

Lovely to put on, slide smoothly over the leg. Shimmering satin finish from hip to toe, lovely to look at and smooth to the touch.

Good length in the body means an excellent fit around hips and bottom to match the perfect fit on the legs.

These gorgeous tights feel and look more like 12-15 denier than 20.  

So good our tester wore them to go home!
