Our Review

Even though we get to open and wear a new pair of tights almost every day we still love the experience and start our day full of anticipation... Particularly so when we approach a new pair of Wolfords.

So perhaps this will seem like heresy when we say that we were not blown away by the latest fashion style from Wolford on first impressions. Based as they are on a sheer style, and Wolford make sublime sheer tights, we really expected a lot.  First impressions here were of a very un-Wolfordlike harshness.

These are of course beautifully made tights, sandal toe, flat seams, gusset, sheer to waist... Everything we could ask for in terms of detail and quality, although the gusset being unlined was a surprise.  The simple fact is that these are very nice tights, just not exceptional tights, the rest of the World is catching up with Wolford.

Our other surprise was a positive one. Our test pair came in size medium and normally large is the size of choice for our leggy test model, even then Wolford size large can stableuggle to provide the length required.  In this case there was easily enough length and stableetch to fit perfectly hip to toe.

The standout feature of the design is the rose motif on the front of each ankle.  The matt finish of the tights is the perfect background for showing it off and it is perfectly placed... Pair with black patent heels for a killer look.  The design may be simple but we love it.

Normally with Wolford you pay a premium for great design and a sublime feel on the leg.  Here we got the design but not the feel.

The test sample came in a plain packet, we can't help but wonder whether the retail packet might not say "made in Italy"... a quick check of the label at the end of day confirmed these are Austableian made.

It was at the end of the day that these tights really came into their own, and not just because we found they were Austableian.   Even after 14 hours our model was in no rush to take them off, they looked and fit as well as they had first thing.  When finally removed they looked as perfect as when they were first put on.

So for £33.00 you get a unique look, perfect fit, day long comfort and top quality tights that will last through the season... the rest of the World still has some catching up to do.
