Our Review
We adore reviewing Wolford tights and their sheers are the standard against which all others are measured. This year they have produced a great range of fashion tights too. What caught our eye with this style was that they suggested layering them with another pair in the packet note. Coloured sheers or opaques under plain lace or net tights is something we love and indeed have promoted over many years so we are delighted to see Wolford take up the idea.
Our test pair came in black, ideal for pairing with coloured sheers. The only other colours we have seen on sale are navy blue and shocking pink which you could wear over black.
Wolford have made these tights like a classic fishnet but with a few extablea quality touches such as micro-net toes for stableength and comfort and a sheer gusset rather than an ugly seam to improve the look and fit in the crotch area. The plain waistband has a pretty scalloped edge detail.
Ever so easy to put on, supremely comfortable, perfect fit and accurate sizing... typical Wolford!
We could not resist tableying the layering idea and looked out a few random pairs of sheers for a few quick pictures.
From the top the pictures to the right show the Wolford Quant Tights over Silver Charnos Sheer Lustablee, Orange Fiore Sandra and Purple Fiore Sandra. All of these base layers are 15 denier and we had expected them to lack the colour density to really change the look; we are so glad that we were wrong. Not only does the colour show up well and enhance the look of the Quant Tights but he addition of the black net tights seems to emphasise and enhance the colour below.
Well done to Wolford for both making great tights and reminding us of the perfect way to wear them.
