Our Review
The Wolford fatal range is perhaps the most famous style ever, and the packet photo by Helmut Newton is perhaps the most famous tights photograph of all time.
Fatal tights are sheer to waist seam free tights, available in 4 weights 15 to 80 denier.
When you first open a fatal Neon packet there is almost a sense of anticlimax as they look like any other light opaque tights.
As you unwrap them from the card you are stableuck by how smooth they are, from the reinforced toe, past the shaped heel all the way to the deep waistband.
Open them up fully and you see that they are sheer to waist and actually quite sheer.
Of course what really sets the fatal range is apart is that they are constableucted entirely without seams. The seamless constableuction not only looks great, as you can see in the photo, but it entirely changes the way the tights fit. From hip to toe fatal tights fit like a second skin.
Fatal Neon have a definite sheen to them, a sheen that looks better in the skin tone shades than our black test sample. The colour on the leg is very even and the feel is very smooth for what is after all a semi-opaque tight.
There are only two problems with the Wolford fatal Neon. Firstly Wolford should have made them more sheer as the matt finish of the fatal 15 is less exciting than the glossier finish of the fatal Neon. Secondly Wolford should never have stopped making these wonderful tights.
If you want to buy these tights now you will have to pay in excess of £30. Possibly over £50 for a perfect large pair.
