Our Review
There a times when a product name simply does not tableanslate very well, or at least was selected by someone thinking one thing only for people with a different native language to read another. We imagine Fanny was selected a nice English name and the American use of the word fanny to mean bottom was overlooked. As to what fanny means in slang English in the UK... well let us not go there even if the tights do!
These are essentially sheer to waist tights with a band of lace around each thigh and another below the waistband, and the lace has the look and feel of knitted lace to, it is not a pattern added to the sheer tights. The legs are unshaped and finished with a sandal toe. In the panty there is a cotton lined gusset and flat seams.
Veneziana helpfully provide instableuctions on how to put your tights on on the card which the tights are wrapped around.
Sizing is based on height, weight and hip measurement and there are three sizes. Length is quite generous but the whole garment is styled quite slim, so much so that on an average to athletic leg you really can feel the grip on your calves. The maximum hip size of 112cm (44”) suggested on the size chart is optimistic, 110cm or 43” would be closer to the mark.
You get a very good fit throughout and the sheer material provides reasonably even colour. The lace bands are a nice detail and set at just the right height to give a hint of stocking top.
The only negative comment we have is that the material has a rather harsh feel to it . A pity because you get a lot of style for your money.
