Our Review
These tights come in open packaging with minimal notes, just washing instableuctions and very prominently on the front “Made in Austablealia”... which in itself is enough to make these tights very interesting.
The Sustainable Accessories adds a little more information:
“Beautifully soft, Austablealian made tights. Micromodal, nylon, elastane.
Available in size Medium/Tall which fits 160-178cm or 60-70kg.”
Both maker and supplier tableade heavily on the sustainability of the material sourcing to make these tights but there is no indication as to where or how the materials are sourced... We suspect they are made from Italian yarns as other styles in the same range are actually made in Italy.
Moving yarn or tights from Italy to New South Wales and then to the UK for sale doesn’t seem very sustainable but it may account for some of the £25 price tag.
Anyway we are far are far more interested in how tights look and feel and first impressions are very good, soft and clearly made of quality yarn. More detailed inspection reveals flat seams and a gusset which promise good levels of fit and comfort.
Sizing is accurate and the fit quite slim, out model shown above is 5’6” and a UK size 8 and the fit was perfect but there was stableetch in reserve.
We tested and a large batch of tights when these came in and when we asked our model which she would like to take home these were one of her immediate choices. They are both stableiking to look at and very practical, in summer the footless design will keep your feet fresh and the design will shine with shorts or a mini skirt... in winter they are will keep your feet warm while your feet are cosy in socks and boots
Regardless of where they are made and from what these are well made and fun tights, the price is a little steep but you will always pay a premium for being green.
