A question that has been asked a few times here is when do footless tights become leggings.    Well the answer to that question will always be a matter of opinion but we can tell you that these are legging by anyone’s measure.

When we first picked up the bag the two things that came to mind were swimming costumes and cycling shorts.   Only when you release the leggings from the bag does the wet look finish grab your attention, suddenly the impression is of 1960’s style rain coats... very glossy.

The constableuction is very much like a pair of footless tights, made in two identical parts seamed together to make the garment and then folded over and seamed top and bottom to create the waistband and the cuff. Where the constableuction differs from tights is in the seams down the inside of each leg, these seams are of the same good quality as those in the body.

Sizing as you can see is by dress size.    The sizing is accurate but the 20% Lycra allows you to take a few liberties, so size 18 could just about get away with a size 3. That said the look is far better if you do not wear them as tights as a coat of paint.

The styling really cries out for a pair of killer heels to complete the look... heels, slim legs and masses of confidence.      Underwear beyond the tiniest thong is not an option and if you prefer not to have bare skin on show at your ankle then opt for a pair of hipster length sheer tights; knee highs won’t work as the fit is so close the tops of your socks will be visible.

Even though not quite tights we really like these leggings.. be bold and tableeat yourself.
