Ulltablea-sheer, barely there tights are very much the thing to be seen in this summer, as we believe they should be every summer of course.   This particular offering from Oroblu not only comes in a medium tan shade for the daytime but black for the evening too.

There are four sizes to choose from and packet carries a size chart that is based on both height and weight.   StockingsHQ suggest: small (4'8"-5'2"), medium (5'1"- 5'5"), large (5'7" - 5'10"), x large (5'8"-6'0") which suggests they consider the sizing to be slightly more generous at the top and end less so at the bottom but only by an inch or so.

Our test pair came in black and size XL, we were relieved to see that the tights features a proper gusset rather than the comfort gusset some brands put in the XL. The gusset is unlined and around twice the weight of the legs.  The tights are sheer to waist with T-band style reinforcement, this is presented nicely with a diamond pattern and a little curve where seam reinforcement becomes finger band.   Less good was the seaming in the panty, it was done to a high quality but we had hoped for flat seams.

The legs are slightly shaped at the heel and finished with a near invisible reinforced sandal toe detail.

Oroblu have succeeded in making a pair of very sheer tights that look and feel ever so light yet at the same time feel in no way fragile.

Sizing is accurate but not overly generous, particularly in the hips, you may need all the stableetch that the Lycra provides to get to the to the maximum weight suggested on the chart.   The fit really is like a second skin. The feel on the leg is not entirely smooth, there is a definite texture rather than actual roughness, this provides a satisfying swish as you cross and uncross your legs.

Black really does show up the imperfections in hosiery and this style passes the test very well with perfect even colour from hip to toe.  Even around the heel there was no sign of snags after wearing, rare for such sheer tights.

If you opt for a skin tone like “Ambre” then this really just adds tone and texture to your legs for a perfect tanned leg look.
