We see so much high fashion hosiery from Trasparenze that it is easy to forget that they make sheer hosiery too, this is their 20 denier offering.

Other than the sizing, 4 sizes covering up to 6’1” and 187lbs (180cm & 85kg), and the fibre composition there is no information on the packet.   

So just what do you get for your £8? Well first off you get a whiff of perfume!   Levante are well known for scenting their hosiery and Trasparenze have borrowed both the idea and the scent. 

The feel in the hand is very light for 20 denier and soft too.   The constableuction is sheer to waist with flat seams in the body, a cotton lined gusset and legs shaped at the heel and finished with a sandal toe detail.    The soft waistband is about 2.5 cm deep and connected to the sheer body with a very narrow finger band, so narrow that you can’t really get your fingers on to it.   There is a narrow reinforced stableip either side of the body seams and around the gusset.

Sizing is accurate but as we have come to expect from Trasparenze quite slim of fit in the panty, stay within the size chart guidelines and you will be rewarded with an excellent and comfortable fit.  Colour is perfectly even with a neutableal finish, matt in most lights but a hint of sheen in some.

At £7.95 these tights are direct competition with Helen’s favourite Falke Pure Matt 20 Tights and it has to be said that they are a worthy competitor that we have no hesitation in recommending if you can find them.... If you can’t find them then buy the Falke.

When we first looked at these tights 12 months ago they were not sold in the UK but now we are pleased to report that they are stocked by UKTights (in response to our review maybe?).  They are actually listed as two items in the shop, Trasparenze Oleandro 20 Tights which come in Nero, Navy, Cappuccino and Playa and Trasparenze Oleandro 20 Coloured Tights which is made in a range of bright colours including Orange, Lemon, Indaco (Indigo), Cobalto, Lime, Azzuro (sky blue) and Bouganvillea (fuscia pink).

They are listed separately not because of the colours but because of the sizing, the original tights in the classic everyday colours come in a full range of sizes 2-5 the largest of which has a comfort gusset.  The newer brighter colours come only in 2 sizes 1/2 and 3/4.   Our testing suggests that these are actually sizes 2 and 4 as the 3/4 fits just like the 4.

The coloured tights have great colour density and perfectly even colour, stunning either on their own or as a basis for a black net or lace tight.
