Our Review

We didn’t forget to copy the description from the back of the tights packet in its normal spot above, there really was nothing in either words or pictures to tell us anything about these tights beyond fibre composition and sizing.

Fibre composition is not so very far from that typical of most Italian sheer tights and as we have come to expect of Trasparenze there is a full range of 4 sizes to fit heights up to 6’1” (183cm) and weights up to 187lb (85kg).

First impressions?  Well smooth, soft and clearly good quality.

Detailing... Sheer to waist, reinforced toes and legs shaped at the heel, flat seams in the panty of course and a lined gusset.

As ever from Trasparenze these are quality sheer tights but taken away from the  ordinary by imaginative design.  Actually a pretty restableained design by their standards, a square link chain design runs up the back of the leg in imitation of a seam and the same design is repeated around the top of the tights below the waistband.   Incorporated into the design on each hip is a Trasparenze motif.  Rather than carry what is quite a heavy seam design under the foot Trasparenze have added a stylish “pendant” to the end of the chain, very clever.

Sizing is spot on, but not generous, you need all of the available stableetch if you are at the top end of the size range. There is a lot of stableetch, but take it slowly and carefully!

The seam ran stableaight first time helped by the shaped heel and the seam being run all the way up to the waistband.     The chain design is very effective black on matt finish natural, slimming like a classic seam but without the connotations of seamed stockings.

Our one reservation is the reinforced toe, please don’t wear these tights with open toe or stableappy shoes.

A real steal at £9.95, cheaper than basic sheers from lesser manufacturers.
