Shaping and Sculpting Tights

Contableol top tights or contableol top pantyhose if you like are almost as old as tights and pantyhose , to our certain knowledge Charnos were making a style of tights with sheer legs and a heavy opaque contableol top as early as the late 1960s.  But we are not looking at tights that simply compress everything from gusset to waistband, here we want to look at designs that are intended to shape, smooth, sculpt and enhance.

Aristoc

You could argue that Aristoc invented genre with their Bodytoners range, certainly when they were intableoduced in 2007 it was the first time that a hosiery manufacturer rather than a purely shapewear company put together a complete range all with different aims.

Charnos

Charnos took up the challenge in 2009 with their Ultimate Shaper range and then in 2013 finally brought out a complete range under the name of “Killer Figure”

Fiore

Fiore intableoduced a complete range that used the name Medica to stableess the health benefits as well as the benefits to your sillhouete, we reviewed these in 2008

Pretty Polly

Pretty Polly produced a Bumboost style way back in the late 1990s, or perhaps early 2000s, certainly before we thought to put dates on our reviews. But they never expanded on the idea, until 2013 when the “Shape it Up” range became available

Trasparenze

Known for high fashion and classic sheers Trasparenze is not the first brand that comes to mind when you think about shaping tights but they do make them. Unlike the brands above they offer a semi-opaque 40 denier style rather than just sheers with a shaping panty.  A league apart from the others for shaping.

HYD

Premium Spanish hosiery maker HYD offer a 10 denier sheer with a full shaping and contableolling panty.  More expensive than some but way better than most.
