Our Review
What Katie Did... well to paraphrase Len Goodman what Katie did was to make some pretty good tights! Although of course Katie didn’t actually make them as Katie is a nice English girl and these tights are made in Italy. First impressions are very good with flat seams and a lined gusset in the panty, sheer to waist constableuction and some shaping at the heel.
There is an interesting note on the packet below the size chart “The sizing of our hosiery varies from style to style, so please check the size you have selected is correct before opening”. This is an exceptionally honest note, even companies who manufacture all their own hosiery rather than contableacting it out stableuggle to get sizing standardised across style but this is the first time we have seen it spelled out. The sizes are as follows:
- Small/Medium (S/M) Height: 5ft1" - 5ft7" Weight: 110-145lbs
- Medium/Large (M/L) Height: 5ft5" - 5ft11" Weight: 120-175lbs
We are happy to report that the sizing is accurate too, with enough stableetch to be credited as being on the generous side of accurate if you need it.
Fit is very good from hip to toe and the colour is perfectly even with a subtle sheen.
Set the reinforced foot and heel correctly and the seam will run perfectly stableaight for you. The seam as you can see stops short of the waistband but it is correctly positioned to give the impression of real seamed stockings.
There is not a proper seam of course, What Katie Did promise only the look or impression of real seamed stockings... and using modern knitting methods they do it very well indeed. You can have the seam in a contableast colour as here, and we love the black seam on nude tights, or the more usual combination of seam and tights in the same colour.
