Our Review
This is another style from Mondor’s Nature collection. The catalogue suggests Acrylic fibre abut the packet says Rayon from Bamboo as a constituent part of the fibre so it is worth looking at this in detail. Nylon is a synthetic fibre made from oil, cotton is a natural fibre from plants and the bamboo sourced Rayon is somewhere in-between. Rayon is artificial fibre that uses plant material as the source but is heavily processed to produce fibre. The result anyway is a pair of tights that are soft and have excellent properties of moisture wicking, insulation and durability that could not be achieved with cotton or nylon alone.
Plain knit legs are attached to a ribbed knit boxer style brief, the different knit is used to provide extra stretch and improved fit. The panty features a gusset and has well made, but not flat, seams. The tights are topped off with Mondor’s usual highly effective sewn elastic waistband.
There is a fully knitted shaped heel and toe to help with fit. The toe seam is as is usual with Mondor over the top of the toes. The toe seam is quite heavy but on this style it is comfortable and does not rub.
Sizing is on the small side so we would suggest going up a size if you are unsure.
The look on the leg is quite sock like, a look and feel many women will recall from their school days... and indeed there are sizes for the current generation too.
Sensible, practical tights for the cooler months.
