In most respects these tights are identical to the Lores No 406 Tights but where that style just has parts of the pattern highlighted with Lurex this style has the entire pattern in Lurex.
The Lurex motif runs from just behind the reinforced toe detail all the way to the waistband. Lurex is also used to highlight the reinforced area either side of the flat seam in the panty and around the cotton lined gusset.
Although not in anyway intended to be compression or support tights there is a noticeable resistance to stretch the further down the leg you go and this does translate to a very gentle compression... this bodes well for when you have to be on your feet a lot.
Sizing quite generous in terms of length but a little on the small side in the hips, so if you are right at the very limit on the sizing you might want to go up a size. The Lycra that provides that little bit of support also provides for a very good close fit.
Colour density is good and even but not a match for premium brand 40 denier tights; not that that really matters as these are party tights and the star is the Lurex pattern which the really stands out. The purple Lurex on black is an eye-catching combination that manages the stay the right side of the line between stylish and tacky.
Much to our surprise we would pick the Lurex version over its more understated cousin.
Well made tights that will get you noticed.. what more could you want?
