Our Review
Apparently it is still summer here in England but it won’t be long before the calendar catches up with the weather and it really will be time to get the heavy patterned tights on.
This style is made with microfibre in Italy for Polish brand Lores, it is made in two sizes differentiated mainly by height (less than or more than 164cm, 5’5”) and less so by hips where the sizes overlap from 104-112 cm.
First impressions are quite sock-like in terms of weight and texture, the patterning too would not look out of place on hosiery of any length from ankle socks to tights.
There is no shaping in the legs and the pattern runs from toe seam to waistband, only the cotton lined gusset and the waistband are plain. The overall feeling is one of quality, an impression reinforced by the well finished flat seams. Only the seaming in of the gusset let Lores down a little on our test pair and that seam is not going to be seen and is perfectly smooth and secure.
As for sizing the maximum height and hip suggested for the larger size are 176cm and 120 cm (5’9” and 47”). Our tests suggests that you could be a very leggy 5’9” and find these tights more than long enough (35” leg no problem) but if your hips are above 43” (110cm) you could struggle.
We like the patterning and can see these tights paired with a skirt and boots to great effect through the colder months.
